A friend. And not just any friend, a best friend. A friend who would stay up half the night and listen to me cry, because that was what I needed. A friend that would listen to every single detail of whatever boy I was infatuated with at that time. A friend who would drop whatever she was doing to help me through whatever catastrophe I had turned my life into. A friend that could make me laugh, no matter what situation we were in. A friend who knew everything about me, but never once judged me for any of it. A friend who I could talk to about even the most awkward of subjects. A friend who never said “I told you so” when she gave me advice that I should have, but didn’t, take. A friend who was the sister that I never had.
This friend that I’ve lost, she is who I need desperately right now. But our friendship is in such disrepair that I don’t think we’ll ever get back to the way things were. Because too much has changed.
But not how much I need her. That may never change.

When we get married, I hope we still act like the fun couple who will always laugh in the end of the day. Don’t worry, I promise to cook for you, sleep beside you, shower together, cuddle in the sofa and ask how’s your day when you came home from work. Just promise me that you will still keep doing the things that made me fall in love with you everyday. That’s all I want. I love you.
